Survivor Notes

I've noticed people blogging and face book statusing about Lost and American Idol and since I don't watch either of those shows, I've decided to post about the one show I do watch - Survivor. We're nearly at the end of this current season in Brazil just as those other shows are wrapping up.

I love survivor. I love the interpersonal human relationships and how they unfold in the stress and vote or be voted off tropical bug infested, starvation induced and poisonous indigenous creature locations. Oh, I would never even apply to be on the show though. I think that I could win when it comes to the communication, forming alliances and influencing others section but I wouldn't last 5 minutes after they dropped me off as a cast-away. Nope, I'd look around and wonder where was the bathroom, my bed, some water and food and as soon as the first bug bit me I'd be running and screaming for rescue not to mention just seeing a poisonous snake or spider.

Kevin is convinced that in between scenes the director yells cut and they all go over to tables with donuts and bagels and they sleep in the local Hilton, but he doesn't really even watch the show so he does not see the weight they lose or the way their skin looks after it's been chewed on by critters for a month.

And now that this season is down to the final five I don't even really have a super favorite I want to see win. And it's not that none of this season's players are likable. In some way, I like all of them, even Coach. But I think I'll be happy with whoever wins this one. I can't wait until Sunday night!
