Awaiting Anna

My sister Becky is expecting her first baby, a girl, due about June 20th. We're pretty excited about this since when we were kids, my sisters and I all agreed that Becky would be the one to have kids and the rest of us would be aunts. Ah, the best made plans... in any case it's been something Becky has wanted for a long time and is finally on the verge of happening.

We had a baby shower for her yesterday. It was wonderful warm, sunny weather and there were lots of great friends and lovely gifts and yummy food. I ate too much in spite of a low level migraine and vicodin help. And ultrasound tells us the baby will be a girl so the planned name is Anna Marie. Sweet, huh?

And speaking of the low level migraine... i discovered while attempting to also make a shrimp salad for yesterday's event that i lost my vicodin. that's a really sad and scary thing and the big problem is that when i get a migraine my brain nearly ceases functioning. so unfortunately, the times that i am in possession of that pill bottle are the times when i am not cognizant of where i got the bottle, where i put the bottle and where i find the bottle again. so, i couldn't find it when i needed it. today i'm better and i'd better search again or i'll have to see the doctor to explain. i called the pharmacy for help in the midst of my pain yesterday and they pretty much said, "yeah, no we can't help you when you lose that." i was SOL except that my mom had some leftover from some shoulder pain she'd had and so i know, it was breaking the law, but i took one of hers to survive the day.

prayers for the day: that Becky's pregnancy winds up safe and healthy and anna arrives the same and that i find my vicodin. OH, and Happy Birthday to Kevin!
