i don't think she's headed out any time soon. i do think my aunt and my cousins treat her like a poorly behaved 4 year old and they are frustrated with her. i also believe if you treat someone like a bad child, they'll act like a bad child. and i think my grandma is behaving admirably under the circumstances.
before we left, my sister said an aunt sent an email that grandma had pneumonia and everyone wanted to stop us from going. dad asked me what i thought, and i said let's go. so we did. grandma was fine. she's coughing and they gave her an antibiotic shot, but she had therapy and was alert and active as about ever. when we told her we heard about the pneumonia, she said, "oh, is that what i have? no one told me." and that pisses me off. she is a 92 year old adult who is NOT senile in the least and certainly deserves to be told what she has. dammit. so, perhaps my thought yesterday of her behaving differently around me (and my dad) has more to do with the fact that we treat her like a respected adult and so, guess what?! she acts like one. (*shakes head with disgust*)
so, it was a nice day anyway and a good visit.
i did get my butt out of bed early enough to do 30 minutes on the treadmill, and although abby had a very difficult time falling asleep last night, she woke up well and we got ready and off to school/work with no frustration. so, it's a great start to the day. Praise God for today!

i wonder if grandma would appreciate the shins, even if not their music, their spirit.....i am thinking particularly about how adults play the most ridiculous repulsive games...heee heee, and perhaps darling grandma would agree. i am glad she is ok. check my blog....i wgot abby's letter and posted a blog to her
hmmm. nah, she probably wouldn't really get it. and partially, she had a hand in creating these people. but, they should still be able to step up and not perpetuate the crap. but, of course, they wont.
i will log in with abby tonight so she can respond herself to your blog. she did that letter all on her own. i just helped with the return address on the envelope to be sure it would fit.
