continuing the analogy

i guess a stone can be useful too, and yet still aggravating when it's stuck in your shoe. so, both work.
i like the smooth stones that decorate the candle in my dining room.

38 days until Hawaii.

i was looking at the Ko'Olina's activity page yesterday. they offer a yoga class on Tuesday and Thursday while we are there. i hope to take it. it's a 90 minute beginner class the first day and then for people who take that the Thursday class is an hour of the next step. it's at 8 am which is really noon MN time, but still i find it easy to adjust and sleep in just about anywhere.

it was 2 degrees driving into work today. what makes it easier to deal with temperatures so cold that it hurts to breathe and your skin itches because it is so dry is to think about the soft warm air in Hawaii. Air warm enough to have bear arms and legs in shorts while breezes ruffle palm trees and the waves rustle like beads on the beach. oh, i also love the tiki torches at night. and the midori cocktail at the pool in the afternoon.

thinking of those things keeps me sane when it's 2.
