finally we had some almost summer like weather. low 80s and mostly sunny. abby and i did some things around the house saturday and then went to ikea for shopping. i love ikea. we only bought some poster frames (so abby could put up her autographed Sanctus Real poster next to Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana) and i got an apple slicer and a bamboo plant. we then grilled some steaks at my parent's for dinner.
oh, and i found a japanese cookbook at the library that has a cucumber and crab meat salad recipe that tastes just like the one at ichibans. yum! i love that salad and made it twice this weekend.
then on sunday after church (music still is awful) abby and i picked up some bicycle accessories at target and installed our bells, bike rack and chains on the bikes before we rode them over to my parents to help open the pool. since we've opened it so late (it's too cold to use it) it looks terrible, but dad should have it cleaned up in a few days. becky & chris were there to help and connie was there with her kids. it was a nice family time finished by burgers with dad at Lion's Tap.
so, yeah, a bit mundane, but really nice. if i could do anything i wanted any time, i think this is how i'd spend most of my time anyway.

ahhh, oscar is soooo cute. the lion's tap menu brought back some great memories too. i really miss you all!
