mom, redeemed

and that would be me! yay!

so, after being the worst mom last week i think i did better through the weekend. even with a 48 hour migraine. of course, vicodin is my friend when i have the purple anti-nausea pill to take with it.

but abby played a fairie in the prairie fire children's theater production at her school friday and saturday. she did well, and we enjoyed the performance. on saturday after the matinee show, i took her for a special lunch to leann chin's, despite my headache. then we had dinner at connie & mark's house for ryan's 4th birthday and then all sunday afternoon i played with abby. we practiced her bike, practiced some softball and she did finally learn to ride the bike! i'm so proud of her because she really was afraid to do it, but she toughed it out. it's so cute to see her pedalling away now.

now, i'm saving my pennies to get myself a new bike, hopefully by the end of May. i'd like to get this really nerdy cruising girl's bike with a pet basket for oscar. i'll look just like the mean old lady from the wizard of oz, and i will love it! the geekier the better.

i was hoping to pick up a contract gig doing some access database work for one of terri's friends, but that may not happen. so, i'm hoping warmer spring weather brings lots of car sales then instead.
