all ok for now

so happily all the tests came back ok for dad and they released him yesterday at 4. he was doing much better. said he didn't feel 100% but he didn't get any sleep.

it was reassuring that everything they could test for his heart to that point looked good. they said it doesn't mean that there isn't heart disease, but there's no justification for the next phase of testing which is more invasive. the best they can guess at this point is that he either had a severe and sudden bout of an intestinal flu or he may have some blockage so he's just supposed to see his regular dr. this week, and if anything worsens again - get right back to the er.

we're all relieved and thankful.

oh, the dr. did say that dad was terribly dehydrated and that he could do with more water and less beer. since becky was there when the dr. said this, the 3 of us have agreed that from now on after every alcohol drink we have (for dad that's a beer) we will drink at least 8oz of water in between for the next one. i told my dad that would help with hydration, weight and money. we did take dad to dinner last night since nobody had anything to eat at home. we went to the red fox, and dad had 1 beer, 1 glass of water and a bowl of chicken and dumpling soup.
