Scrambling Before Winter

I'm almost ready for winter. We had to replace the wood on our deck this year because it was mostly rotted and thanks to Mark's help, it got 99% done in August. Kevin was supposed to finish screwing in the last boards, power wash and seal it. But, for the last 8 weekends he has been watching football, napping and mowing the lawn to get the leaves. The last one irritates me to no end because the leaves kept coming down so I think that was a complete waste of time. And meanwhile it's gotten colder and colder and the deck got stained with leaves rotting on it. Because he didn't do anything about it.

So this weekend I spent Saturday painting the new trim on the house and power washing the deck and then yesterday since I didn't have to sell shoes, I stained it. After Kevin picked a fight with me about eggs, French eating, Abby talking and going to church and I finally got pissed off beyond belief, he helped a little. I'm happy for his help, but worked really hard NOT to say thank you. Because I say thank you and then he acts like he did me a huge favor and honestly, it would have been nice if he would have done it on his own like he said he would in September. I also think the job was not good because it was too cold and I was trying to go too fast before it got dark.

I'm still crabby because I was so exhausted and cold last night and could not warm up. And, it was NOT a particularly fun weekend for me. And my house needs to be cleaned to get ready for the holidays and I didn't have any time to do that. Whine, whine, whine.
