Nah, not so much. I've never been a big maker of New Years Resolutions. I remember one year my resolution was just to wave back. It was because I was noticing that if little kids on busses, for example, waved at me, I wasn't waving back. Since that went so well, the next year my resolution was to wave first!
When I feel the need for a change, I make it at that point and don't wait for a specific date to put it into practice. That just wouldn't work for me, although I know for some people it does work. My ex brother-in-law decided to get sober one year, had a big party on New Years Eve, stopped drinking the next day and has been sober for probably a dozen years now. Surprising and unusual I think, but I'm happy for him. After 5 DWIs and some jail time, it was a necessary life adjustment and we're all safer for it.
So, anyway, just wishing a Happy New Year from here - with no strings attached.
