because i'm back at work and BURIED!
i'm excited for today's inauguration if for no other reason than that the media LOVES Obama and will hopefully stop running scary economy stories and scaring the crap outta people.
i'm so thankful that we took the trip after all, even though economically we should have cancelled. we were very good about sticking to budget and not over spending, and of course the hotel and airfare were paid in advance and otherwise free thanks to Marriott points. Marriott points also gave us a cash credit which we used to do a snuba afternoon and also abby and i went horseback riding. (I am a Marriott fan!)
abby is an angel and i'm so blessed to have her in my life! she decided she wanted to buy me a gift and so was watching for things i seemed to like and after i admired a simple $12 pineapple pin, she secretly bought it with her own money and my sister becky's help. she had becky smuggle it home and gave it to me last night with a homemade card thanking me for being the best mama.
the hardest part about today is being away from her again.
