we left work early, picked abby up from school early and drove up to Duluth to the Sanctus Real show. Actually, Third Day was the headline band, but they're a bit too country sounding for me to get too jazzed up about. A band called Revive opened. they were ok. they rocked. then DecembeRadio and they were quite good. Abby thought the lead singer looked like Tom Petty and the guitarist looked like Joe Jonas. I thought that was a good span of her musical tastes.
then SR got to do 7 songs. we wished it were more, but it was better than the only 5 they got to play in Pittsburgh. let's see if i can remember the songs... Face of Love, Turn On the Lights, Don't Give Up, Whatever You're Doing, Sing, We Need Each Other, and i'm missing one. bummer. oh, i remembered - I'm Not Alright. I thought it was especially fun to sing along with Sing.
We also got to talk with the members again a little bit. we saw Matt outside on the sidewalk while we were going inside so we said a quick Hi, and then saw them after the show. they each signed Abby's poster and we were able to get a picture with each except Mark the drummer who was jammed behind too many people. They claimed to remember us (as the fanatics who went to see them in SC and again in WI) but they could have just been being nice. they seemed sincere though so we were happy.

oh, but did you notice abby's smile? you can tell she was very excited. she actually plans to put the sanctus real poster up over her miley cyrus/hannah montana poster.
