can't think of a thing to type at the moment.
just trying to get work done before vacation. yay! 3 days until vacation. need to handle the mundane things like packing and preparing, but also get to have a pedicure with my sister becky.
let's see, the plans for what we do on vacation so far... we fly ALL day friday. we leave around 9am and arrive at 7pm local time in honolulu. since that's 5 hours behind MN now, that means our internal clocks will think it is midnight. by the time we get the luggage, rental car and check into the hotel it will probably be around 9, and then we'll find a bite to eat and get to sleep by maybe 11pm. to us that will feel like 4am. LONG day. but, it helps to adjust to the local time so that we don't wake up at 3am in Hawaii feeling like it's 8am. following all that? this will be my 8th trip to hawaii, so i kind of have a system that includes a cocktail and a tylenol pm with dinner that first night. oh, and at least a liter of water on the flight there otherwise the dehydration headache lasts a day.
so then our first day saturday is a bit in the air. we're staying the first night in waikiki and hanging out until my sister becky gets there at around 7pm on saturday. since it's not a good idea to leave your luggage in your car in hawaii, we may hang out at the hotel or see if we can go to Ko'Olina and leave our luggage their early.
we are planned to go on a private deep sea fishing trip with becky and chris on monday, weather permitting. and i know i want to take the yoga classes on tuesday and thursday morning. the rest of the week, we'll just see what the mood strikes us to do. hang out at the beach and pool and bar, golf with my friend floyd, drive to the north shore to see if they're surfing...see if we can rent kayaks... just relax and enjoy oahu. i'd like to go horseback riding, but abby is too little.
then we leave around 2pm on Saturday the 1st and fly ALL Night long home. we get in just before 6am sunday and i know how tired we'll be. but, hopefully it's all worth it.
