Weekend Update

or more specifically, update after the weekend.

so, same old dull suburbia existence for us. but to detail the mundane, here goes.

I arrived home on friday to find that kevin had done something to wipe out the operating system on our home pc. that sucked. so, no pc at home, except for the laptop and then abby and i had to share that. i carried the pc into the office today for magical chad to restore. he needs a disc he has at home, so the technological surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.

abby and i helped grandpa shop for the st. michaels pancake breakfast on saturday afternoon, and then we had our westcoast swing dance lesson saturday evening. here is a link (if this works) of our instructor chad. kevin and i look like frankenstein and his bride when we do this.

we don't want to be competition performers, but it would be nice to do this well enough to dance in public. lessons are kind of expensive though, about $50 an hour. we have one more lesson for this session and then need to decide if we want to continue.

after the lesson we met my parents at bonfire to have a birthday dinner with grandpa who turned 70 yesterday. and yesterday, i went with my dad, becky and chris to a vikings game for his birthday. the vikings lost but we still had a fun afternoon. i've noticed, since our seats were in the 4th row behind the greenbay bench, that kevin's derriere seems to be shaped very much like brett favre's. so, i'm not sure what that means. you'd have to see it to have any opinion of that i guess. i'm not saying anything more.

oh, except that abby is not well today so she's drawing at my desk in my office. interesting how when i was a kid, if i had a sore throat my mom would have given me a baby asprin and sent me to school anyway. probably in the car with no seatbelts. to the classroom painted with lead paint and asbestos ceiling tiles. it's a wonder any of us are alive.
